Disability Night, celebrated in 29 cities in France, Saturday June 11, “is really made to invite all city dwellers to come and meet people with disabilities to change their outlook”explains Christine Reny, national coordinator of this event. “We are progressing, but there is always work to be done so that, of course, we can live together tomorrow”she continues.

In France, 12 million people have a disability, which is not always visible. “Once it’s there, you have to live with it. Sport is really a way to overcome one’s handicap”says Christine Reny. “There is better in the knowledge of the general public in relation to disability and therefore less brake. But there is always a lot to do”, she adds. The fifth edition of the Nuit du handicap, which takes place every year, was sponsored this Saturday by the singer Grégoire.
