The motorist who refused to comply at the beginning of the week in Argenteuil and injured by police fire was indicted this Thursday for attempted murder of a policewoman. He was locked up in the hospital.
The 21-year-old was also indicted for “aggravated refusal to comply”, “driving under the influence of an alcoholic state and under the influence of narcotics in recidivism” and “driving despite suspension of the driving license”.
Incarcerated in hospital
Shot in the shoulder blade, the young man was hospitalized. Pending his recovery and transfer to prison, he is incarcerated in hospital.
Shortly before 4:00 a.m. on the night of Monday to Tuesday, a police crew followed a speeding vehicle in the city center of Argenteuil and taking forbidden directions.
A policeman would have shot to protect his colleague
The police would have got out of their car to carry out the check while the offending vehicle had stalled. The driver would then have restarted and stuck a policewoman between her car and the vehicleforcing her to climb onto the hood, and slightly injuring her knees.
One of the police officers allegedly fired a cartridge at the driver to protect his colleague, injuring the driver in the left shoulder blade. The young man would have recognized the refusal to comply but would not admit to having deliberately hit the policewoman insofar as he would not remember it.
The shooting policeman also heard
The 21-year-old driver had 2g/l of alcohol in the blood. He was also positive for cannabis. The policeman who fired the shot was heard in a free hearing by the General Inspectorate of the National Police (IGPN). The investigation is continuing.
