The first round of the legislative elections will take place on Sunday June 12, and less than one in two voters could move. How to explain such demobilization? Report in Toulouse.

In Toulouse (Haute-Garonne), many voters do not intend to vote on Sunday June 12, for the legislative elections. “Politics doesn’t interest me. I don’t think there is one that stands out more than another, so I won’t vote”comments a man.

54% of voters could abstain. Among them, many young people. “Before, when I didn’t have the right to vote, I would have wanted more than now. Because I don’t feel represented”, confides a young girl. Those who wish to vote do not seek to convince. It is when the issue seems decisive that the motivation returns. “There is a challenge, in any case that interests me, in any case for the possible outcome. So suddenly, I find it meaningful to go and vote”says a man.
