Paul Arcand will leave 98.5 in two years

It is the turn of the host Paul Arcand to announce that he will leave his microphone at 98.5 FM in two years at the end of his contract which binds him to the station.

“I’m not retiring tomorrow, I’m respecting my contract. I don’t want to prolong [et] I have an obligation to inform my bosses of what I want to do, ”he announced on the air Thursday morning. He said he wanted to “do something else”, referring in particular to television and documentary projects.

Paul Arcand is the helm of Since you have to get up for almost 20 years. It has been the most listened to morning show in French-speaking Greater Montreal for years.

On Wednesday, the recent Numeris polls confirmed once again that 98.5 FM was in first place among the most listened to radio stations in the country. As to morning manhe remains entrenched, his morning show from 5:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. having monopolized 36% of the market share this spring, against 19% for Radio-Canada, its main competitor.

On the air, Paul Arcand rightly wanted to warmly thank his listeners for listening. “Thank you very much for your presence every morning, for your loyalty, and I thank the whole team who work, work, work to bring you, we hope, the most relevant content”.
