Wednesday, June 8 marked a turning point in the trial of the November 13 attacks: the magistrates began to proceed with the indictment. It will end on Friday, June 10.
For the victims of November 13, 2015, the three days of requisitions are important. Maurice Lausch lost his daughter in the attacks. It is for her that he is present, Wednesday, June 8, at the Special Court of Assizes of Paris. “Our life changed dramatically (…) on November 14, when we learned that our children had died. (…Our house is empty, our life is empty”he explains.
Three magistrates are responsible for bringing the charge until Friday, June 10. They will take turns for 16 hours. “The occurrence of an attack is a failure, a collective failure“, began by explaining one of them. The magistrates also have a regret: “support for families, despite goodwill, was not up to par.“The prosecution does not intend to put terrorism on trial in general, but that of the accused and their involvement, which”shoot piecemeal and finish off some people with relish“.
