For the next edition of the Mural Festival, 50 BIXI bikes will be transformed into unique works of art by five Montreal artists. An opportunity to celebrate the 50 million trips BIXI has recorded since its inception in 2009.
Five of the bikes will be on display as part of the festival, which runs June 9-19. The other 45 bikes will roll through the streets of the metropolis throughout the summer.
“We invite the public to come and celebrate with us during the MURAL festival, or to borrow these bikes designed by local talents throughout the 2022 season,” said Christian Vermette, general manager of BIXI Montreal, in a press release.
