Two young people aged 21 and 22 have filed a complaint against “Chez Tonton”, the institution of Place Saint-Pierre in Toulouse. They say they have been assaulted by bar bouncers on the night of May 24-25 last, in the second part of the evening. They go out to smoke and it is by wanting to re-enter the establishment that the bouncers block. The lawyer for the two victims, Maître Pierre Debuisson, recounts.
“They had spent the evening quietly in the bar, with friends. They went out for some fresh air. And when one of them wanted to go in without insisting, the bouncers fell on him. When the second wanted to go nicely interjecting asking his friend to leave, again in a very peaceful way, and I insist on this element since it was corroborated by almost seven witnesses, the bouncers fell on them and gave them no chance.
One of them is going to have to be operated on and wear a metal plate
Loïc, 22, is beaten, fractured orbital floor. His friend Alexandre, 21, strangled, also loses consciousness. The two victims have decided to file a complaint so that this type of event does not happen again. “The research that has been done by friends or buddies of my clients has revealed that obviously there were many incidents of this kind”, continues Me Pierre Debuisson. “The father of one of these two victims calmly tried to make contact with the owner of the bar, who refuted any form of responsibility, and who had sought to indicate that everything was fine, that there was no difficulty, which is not the case. And this behavior is also unacceptable.”
Loïc’s lawyer indicates that his client will have to be operated on and wear a metal plate under his eye. We tried to reach the establishment “Chez Tonton” several times. No response for now. An investigation is opened.
