The participants in the Freedom Marathon have combined sport and culture. “Go past the landing beaches, it’s interesting to have organized this event on June 5“, says Jules.
We can say thank you to our veterans, to our soldiers who saved France – Mickaël, a participant
Mickaël, a Rouennais and participant did not want to have his eyes fixed on his time. “During this kind of race, you have to look up, because it’s fun. We sportsmen, it is thanks to the soldiers who liberated France that we can set foot on these beaches. Keep in mind this word, freedom, because it is thanks to them that in France in 2022 we can run on these beaches“, explains Mickaël.
For his part, Claude wishes to conclude. “These beaches have suffered so much, there has been suffering. This event is special. It allows us to remember“.
