Soccer Canada issued a statement late Saturday night saying it was “currently in discussion with national team players regarding their fair and equitable compensation ahead of the FIFA World Cup period”.
Canada, ranked 38e world rank, was to be measured against Panama (61e) on Sunday, before kicking off the Concacaf Nations League against Curaçao (79e) in Vancouver on June 9.
