Local authors now have a new showcase to give free rein to unique literary creations. Developed by Myriam Comtois, Marie Lamarre and Annabelle Moreau, the Pavillons platform already hosts the writing projects of 4 creators, while 10 others are expected soon. Offered in the form of serials, these writings will take various avenues – essay, fiction, narrative, poetry, criticism, chronicle, comic strip… –, in solo, duet or collective in English and French. You can access the platform for free or subscribe to be entitled to all the content (from $2 to $4 per month). On the June menu, texts by Martine Delvaux, Marie-Sissi Labrèche, Maya Ombasic, Sophie Voillot, Catherine Voyer-Léger, Patrick Senécal and Mélissa Verreault, among many others.

The Pretnumerique platform

The Pretnumerique platform now has a brand new application for mobile devices that is much simpler and easier to access. The number of steps to go through to gain access to a digital book has thus been reduced in order to facilitate borrowing and consultation of the books. Launched in 2012, the service is used by the majority of public libraries in Quebec and New Brunswick, as well as by several colleges and universities in the province. It provides access to 480,000 French-language titles (including more than 51,000 Quebec titles) and 464,000 English-language titles.
