To help seniors who do not wish to integrate an EHPAD, financial aid should soon see the light of day to allow them to stay at home.

Some elderly people do not want to join a retirement home, so the government wants to introduce a brand new aid called ADAPT’. Its objective is to enable the modernization of housing occupied by seniors, for example by installing ramps to compensate for the lack of mobility of these elderly people. These arrangements can also be useful for replacing bathtubs with showers, for the installation of a stair lift or for enlarging openings with sufficient space for wheelchairs.

For seniors who can benefit from it, this aid should be estimated at 4,000 to 5,600 euros depending on the amount of each person’s pension. The conditions to be able to obtain it are twofold. The person must own their home and must be 70 years of age or older.
