The jubilee of Elizabeth II continued this Friday, June 3 with a mass at Saint Paul’s Cathedral in London. An event that took place without the presence of the Queen of England, tired by the first day of these celebrations. Buckingham Palace explained that the 96-year-old sovereign had felt “some discomfort” during the day. According to several British journalists, Buckingham Palace has just confirmed that the Queen will ultimately not attend the Epsom Derby on Saturday June 4. This horse-riding enthusiast had to go to this prestigious flat horse race. She will be represented by her daughter, Princess Anne.
The British royal family was however present for this religious service officiated by the Bishop of York. The spiritual leader of the Anglican Church, the Archbishop of Canterbury has been forced to cancel suffering from Covid-19!
For their part, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made a remarkable arrival. It was their public appearance in the UK since leaving for California two years ago. The return of the couple for the platinum jubilee did not make everyone happy! The Sussexes did not appear during the Trooping the Color parade, nor on the balcony of Buckingham Palace, and their presence at the cathedral earned them a lot of criticism, especially under this post on Instagram.
