if there’s one who had a blast during his jubilee, it’s him!

After two years of disruption due to the Covid-19 crisis, the Trooping the Color parade returns this year, with great fanfare, and merges this June 2 with the celebrations of the platinum jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II. The 96-year-old monarch invited the general public to a big party in the streets of London, and across the United Kingdom. And his great-grandson, Prince Louis, had a delightful time!

Prince Louis, star of the day!

Arriving in a horse-drawn carriage alongside his brother, Prince George, and sister, Princess Charlotte, he was initially very intimidated by the crowds. On the way to Buckingham Palace, he saluted without interruption, and it was his big sister who had to take his hand to make him stop. Sitting in front of his mother Kate Middleton, and Camilla Parker Bowles, the little boy, aged 4, was dressed in the sailor collar top of his dad, Prince William, worn in 1985, during the same ceremony.

Arrived at the Palace, Prince Louis went up to the balcony and stood right next to his great-grandmother, to observe the parade of planes and helicopters of the Royal Air Force, as tradition dictates. While the rest of the royal family spread out all over the balcony (including Prince Charles, Prince Edward, Princess Anne …), Louis stayed close to his mother and his brother and sister .

Complicit moment with Elizabeth II

Without really worrying about protocol, the adorable toddler stood right in front of Elizabeth II for the photo and kept moving, moving his arms and head, talking, shouting, and grimacing. Zen, Queen Elizabeth II spoke to him and gave him a few benevolent and undoubtedly reassuring smiles. Images of tenderness that will remain and that will not be lacking in the coming days.

The big party should last 4 days, on the other side of the Channel. On the program, concerts, picnics, dancing tea and others. And we can’t wait to follow the escapades of Prince Louis!
