A match under close surveillance. HASfter Saturday’s fiasco on the sidelines of the Champions League final between Real Madrid and Liverpool, the Paris prefecture detailed, Thursday, June 2, the political system that will be deployed during the France-Denmark match, which is played Friday, June 3 at the Stade de France.
Just over 2,000 police and gendarmes will be mobilized around the Stade de France to ensure the security of the match, lists a press release issued after a meeting at the Ministry of the Interior in the presence of the Minister, Gérald Darmanin, of the prefect of police of Paris, Didier Lallement, and his services, according to a source close to the file.
To avoid the snatching and other acts of crime that took place on Saturday evening around the stadium, 656 of them are dedicated to the fight against crime and deployed “around and around the Stade de France, as well as in transport stations”.
Otherwise, “a specific flow regulation device” will be set up at the exit of RER D in order to limit the consequences of the strike on line B of the RER. Patrols will be organized “in all stations and stations in the Paris area”, likely to be borrowed by supporters. Three stations will be closely monitored: RER B La Plaine – Stade de France, RER D Stade de France – Saint-Denis, and metro line 13 Saint-Denis Porte de Paris station.
The protective perimeter of the stadium will be in place from 3 p.m. “The verification of tickets, under the control of the organizer, will be carried out at the level of the access terminals. The France-Denmark match will be sold out. “Nearly 77,000 spectators are expected. 1,800 tickets have been allocated to Danish spectators”, indicates the Paris police headquarters.
