The conductor, bassoonist and pedagogue Mathieu Lussier will succeed Paul Fortin at Domaine Forget. Involved in the world of education, he will be able to manage the academy and, through his functions as artistic director of Arion, weave relationships with valuable artist agencies to compose the festival programs.
Mathieu Lussier also knows perfectly the musical circles of Montreal and Quebec, where he was associate conductor of Les Violons du Roy between 2012 and 2018. With Olivier Godin at Bourgie and Marc Boucher at Classica, it is also a third profile of curious and open pioneer of little-known repertoires who takes the reins of a major institution.
