Elizabeth II Jubilee: images of Elton John in a wheelchair before going on stage raise fears of the worst

The festivities are in full swing in London, although they were nearly spoiled by a disruptive element this Thursday June 2 during the famous traditional parade “Trooping The Colour”. Queen Elizabeth II celebrates with great pomp his platinum jubilee, his 70 years of reign on the throne, surrounded by his children, grandchildren and thousands of Britons.

But it could be that another event comes to disrupt the celebrations. Singer Elton John, 75, was spotted in Wheelchair a few days ago at Leipzig airport in Germany. While he is supposed to give a great performance this Saturday June 4 on the occasion of the Queen’s Jubilee. Even if her performance will be pre-recorded, like that of Diana Ross, her fans fear the worst for the interpreter of “Your Song”.

Nothing to panic about though. Already because it is not the first time that their idol opts for the wheelchair. He even said in 2019 that he had been in a wheelchair at times since a sprained ankle, according to information from the DailyMail. And then, because after seeing those stolen photos at Leipzig airport, he took to Instagram to clarify the situation.

“I thank all my fans for asking about my health.”, he said this Thursday, June 2 in a post. Before continuing: “the real story is that I’m in top form”. Explaining that his teams had indeed advised him the wheelchair so that he could rest his hip this time, and not his ankle, after having given a concert of two and a half hours and before his next date.
