After the excesses that occurred around the Stade de France during the Champions League final on Saturday May 28, the Ministers of Sports and the Interior were heard in the Senate.
Wednesday 1er June, the Minister of the Interior, Gérald Darmanin, and the Minister of Sports, Amélie Oudéa-Castéra, were heard by the Senate about the excesses that occurred on Saturday May 28 in front of the Stade de France, on the occasion of the final of Champions League in Paris. The President of the Senate Law Commission, François-Noël Buffet, wanted to come back to the management of this event “unanimously qualified either as scandalous, or even, by certain political leaders as national disgrace”he said.
The Minister of the Interior recognizes that the management could have been different and that the use of tear gas could have been disproportionate. The two ministers reaffirmed that 30,000 to 40,000 supporters had come to the Stade de France without a ticket or with fake tickets. Spanish or British spectators who feel aggrieved will be able to file a complaint from their country.
