The France U17 football team won the Euro, played in Israel, on Wednesday June 1. Les Bleuets triumphed over the Netherlands (2-1) in the final, thanks to a double from Le Havre Sael Kumbedi. In three minutes (58th, 60th), the right side got the French out of trouble, led since the 48th minute, first scoring with a left shot from outside the box then showing himself to be opportunistic after a shot badly repelled by the opposing goalkeeper.

With 18 shots against 7 for the Dutch, José Alcocer’s players won a well-deserved victory. Which showed a strong character to return to the game, after spending the previous two rounds on penalties (against Germany and Portugal). A revenge, too, since the Blueberries had stumbled against these same Netherlands in chickens. This is France’s third success in the category, after 2004 and 2015.
