The National Assembly adopted on Wednesday Bill 28 aimed at ending the state of health emergency. The 68 Caquiste deputies voted in favor of the adoption of the law, while the 42 votes in the opposition voted against.
However, this legislation extends certain extraordinary powers of the government until December 31. It will therefore be possible to continue to govern by decree, in addition to offering contracts by mutual agreement, without a call for tenders.
On Tuesday, in the chamber, Liberal MP Monsef Derraji criticized the fact that the CAQ government was using a bill to lift the state of emergency.
Further details will follow.
