The road accident was reported around 10:30 a.m. Monday. A driver reportedly lost control of his vehicle while traveling westbound on Crémazie Boulevard, near Saint-Michel Boulevard.

The driver then allegedly hit a police officer from the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) who was in charge of managing traffic near a construction site. A construction worker was also struck by the automobile.

The vehicle ended its journey on the concrete blocks used to protect the site.

There is no danger to the life of the policeman, a man in his forties. At the time of writing these lines, the SPVM was still awaiting a health report for the worker.

The driver of the vehicle was not injured. He will have to meet the investigators in the next few hours in order to clarify the circumstances of the accident.
