It is a crisis meeting which was convened at the Ministry of Sports (Paris), Monday, May 30, at 11 a.m., by the Minister of Sports, Amélie Oudéa-Castéra. The objective is to shed light on the malfunctions that occurred on the evening of Saturday May 28 near the Stade de France and which notably caused a 36-minute delay in the Champions League final. Around the table, there will be representatives of UEFA, Stade de France, the French Football Federation, but also the Seine-Saint-Denis police headquarters.
The Paris police chief, Didier Lallement, will also be present. He announced on Sunday May 29 that he had taken legal action for massive ticket fraud. This is one of the reasons that could partly explain the difficulties in accessing the Stade de France. The police headquarters also points to the RATP strike, while the responsibility of English supporters is raised by the Ministry of Sports and UEFA, explains France Televisions journalist Alice Brogat.
