A person lost his life on Sunday afternoon after an accident involving a motorcycle and a car in Granby, Estrie.
According to preliminary information, the accident occurred around 3:20 p.m. on Route 139.
The two people on the motorcycle had to be transported to a hospital. The City of Granby Police Department confirmed the death of one of the two people during the evening. The other suffered major injuries, but his life would not be in danger, it was said.
The occupants of the car suffered no injuries, but were treated for nervous shock.
Route 139 was completely closed for a few hours while an accident scene technician carried out his work.
An investigation has been opened to understand the causes and circumstances of the accident.
