The campaign for the legislative elections will officially open this Monday, May 30 for the 6,293 candidates which appear everywhere in France. The first round will take place on Sunday June 12, the second on Sunday. 48 million voters will then be called to the polls.
Throughout the duration of the electoral period, special locations will be reserved in each municipality for the posting of electoral propaganda. Parties nominating candidates will also be entitled to a official campaign on radio and television.
On the other hand, any commercial advertising is prohibited, whether in the press or by any means of audiovisual communication. Elected officials may not advertise their achievements or their management within a local authority, on the territory in question.
