With his family and friends waiting for him at the airfield, Rut Larsson made his jump at Motala, 240 kilometers southwest of Stockholm. The duo landed softly, while assistants rushed at her with her walker to help her up.
A representative from the Guinness Book of World Records was present to record the jump. Rut Larsson, who is 103 years and 259 days old, broke the previous record, held by a person of 103 years and 181 days.
