The Racing Besançon club is National 3 champion and goes up to National 2

The club had been waiting for this for 10 years, and here they are National 3 champion and newcomer to the National 2. All this thanks to the draw against Sochaux FC (0-0) at the Léo Lagrange camp in Besançon on Saturday evening.

Pierre-Loic has tears in his eyes. “There’s really a family feeling here in Besançon. I’m not from Besançon, but I got to know this club, and to see all these people on the lawn… frankly, it’s magnificent” is moved this supporter of the last hour.

Go as far as possible

Sabrina shares the same emotion, she who knows the club thanks to her companion, member of La brigata supporters. “It’s the culmination of hard work, the passion that our men have put into all of this” she explains proudly.

Maxime and Arnaud, for their part, see further than the rise in National 2 : “We want our club to become pro. We must give ourselves the means so that Besançon is a football city”

It’s a collective joy

Coach Jean-Marc Trinita is at heart of the crowd on the fieldsurrounded by his players. “It’s a relief, a collective joy. It’s very strong for me because it’s been my club for a long time” says the coach, with a smile on his face.

Next goal for the club? Stay next year in National 2.
