Texas shooting: investigation raises questions about police attitude

They are criticized for not being intervened earlier. “How could they leave a teenager with a gun for more than an hour inside the classroom without him ever being apprehended? There would have been breaches, that’s what the governor of Texas said”she explains.

Three days after the tragedy, some surviving children tell of the hell they went through. “He shot through the window and he injured my friend and my mistress”testifies Jayden. “We opened a door and started running. Two police cars covered us, in case the shooter came back, and we fled the classroom.” says Edward. A little girl even said that she had to cover herself witha blood of one of her classmates to fake her death and evade the shooter.
