View of… Percé Rock
From the Chalets la Plage
Anne Jutras remembers being “amazed” by the appearance of the icon of the Gaspé village when she woke up at the Chalets la plage. “I remember our first morning when the view of Percé Rock, through the screen door, was like an apparition out of a storybook,” she wrote to us. She had rented one of the small cabins offered for rent, with a kitchenette and, of course, a view of the sea.

From the House of the Rock

“Undoubtedly the most beautiful view in Quebec”, nothing less, boasts Alex Caron, owner of a house for rent on the Airbnb platform. And for good reason: it is the closest residence to the rock, which looms on the horizon, as well as Bonaventure Island.

“Unforgettable” is how Gemma Mejia describes her experience in the small Nature Ocean cabins, also in Percé. Through the window of the small house perched on a hill, the silhouette of the rock can actually be seen in the sea. In addition to the chalets, Nature Océan also has a campsite, as well as a branch in Cap-d’Espoir, nearby.

View of… the river: the North shore
From Tadoussac
The Tadoussac campground offers its campers a double view: both on the river and on the fjord. Its location at the point between the St. Lawrence and the Saguenay River allows it to benefit from this panorama, in addition to being located high up. A suggestion from Cécile Latizeau.

For Marie-Élise Locas, the most beautiful view is on Chemin Marie-Roussin, in Charlevoix. “Impossible to get tired of the view from the house towards the village of Les Éboulements, the majestic Saint-Laurent and the South Shore,” she wrote to us. She had rented a chalet from Hébergements Charlevoix, the MIR-526, large enough to accommodate a group.

“The feeling of being alone in the world for a week”, is how Michel St-Germain describes his experience last summer on Anticosti Island. He rented a SEPAQ chalet there with his family, at the mouth of the Vauréal River. It is not easy to get there, but once there, the magic of the place can only operate!

From Saint-Fabien-sur-Mer
At Chalet Jovette, in Saint-Fabien-sur-Mer, Philippe Beaudoin believes he has found the most beautiful view in the province. It overlooks Parc national du Bic, near Rimouski. However, it seems that the secret of this seaside chalet has been discovered by others, as it is rented out for the whole summer, but the view is just as spectacular in winter.
From Trois-Pistoles
This Trois-Pistoles campsite may be called Aux Flots Bleus, but it is better known for its shades of pink. Indeed, the sunsets there are breathtaking, according to Geneviève Ricard, photo in support. There are campsites as well as seasonal cabins.

From L’Islet-sur-Mer
L’Islet-sur-Mer should not be ashamed of its sunset, but Louise Dugal recommends the place above all for its proximity to the sector of the migratory bird sanctuary of Trois-Saumons. To take full advantage of it, she stayed in a house found on the Airbnb platform, Le Havre du Saint-Laurent, for its “180-degree view directly on the edge of the river”.
From Rivière-du-Loup
According to Yves Lavoie, the most beautiful view is from his house in Trois-Pistoles. But for all those who are not so lucky, he recommends the Auberge de la Pointe, in Rivière-du-Loup, where he always goes as a visitor. The institution is indeed recognized for its majestic terrace overlooking the river.

View of… the Saguenay Fjord
From Chicoutimi
Gîte du Haut des Arbres, in Chicoutimi, offers a magnificent view of the Saguenay Fjord for a reasonable price, according to Laurence Brillon. The nine-bedroom guesthouse is located close to the city center, but still offers a view surrounded by nature.

Nancy Bouchard has seen a lot of the country, but it is nevertheless at the Ferme 5 étoiles, near Sacré-Coeur, that her crush comes back. This is a campsite where you sleep on platforms that directly overlook the fjord. ” It is magic. That’s sublime. Waking up in silence and immensity at low tide… At high tide, you almost touch it. At night, you can hear the lapping in the tent,” she describes.
