Top start for the Miss Alsace 2022 campaign. The sixteen candidates were presented on Saturday May 28 at the Ribeauvillé barrier casino. And for the first time, the selection criteria have been expanded to welcome new profiles.
A candidate mother
For this 2022 edition, there is no longer an age limit to be able to participate. It was previously set at 24 years. A change that allowed Alizé Gemminger, 26, to present himself: “I had already made the selections once and I had not passed them. Because of the age limit, I could not represent myself. When they changed the rule, I went for it”.
Another novelty: there is you no longer need to be single to be elected Miss. For the first time, therefore, a mother, Victoire Rousselot (27), is a candidate for the title of Miss Alsace. “It’s a new era and I’m extremely proud to be part of the contest. My first motivation is to bring this message that I’m a mother, that I’m married, but that doesn’t define who I am. I I am above all a free woman, who has dreams and who wishes to accomplish great things.”

Victoire Rousselot, like other candidates, is also tattooed, which is again a first. A good in the necessary modernity according to Eddy Vingataramin, the new regional delegate of the competition. “It’s a competition that we want to be resolutely modern. Today all women can apply to represent our region, its know-how and its tourist sites”.
Not all historical criteria have been abolished either. The meter seventy bar remains in effect to be selected. The competition will take place on next september 10 in the open-air theater of the Parc des Expositions in Colmar.
