Teddy Riner and Paris Saint-Germain crowned French team champions in Essonne

A successful return to competition for Teddy Riner. For his comeback, Teddy Riner, won for the first time since joining PSG Judo the French team championshipthis Saturday, May 28 at the Grand Dôme in Villebon-sur-Yvette (Essonne).

The 33-year-old triple Olympic champion has won all three of his fights. In the final, while his Paris Saint-Germain team was tied with the Longjumeau club (FLAM 91) with an overall victory, Teddy Riner won against Alexandre Iddir by ippon. Three fights, three ippon for the French giant. Final victory 3-2 for Teddy Riner and his teammates. The capital club succeeds the winners at FLAM 91.

For PSG Judo the party is complete with the coronation of the women’s teamvictorious over Blanc-Mesnil 3-1 in the final .

The Parisian team included Marie-Eve Gahié (-70kg) and Romane Dicko (+78kg), crowned European champions in early May. But it was the Tokyo Olympic vice-champion Amandine Buchard (-52kg), who impressed in the final with an ippon made in less than eight seconds.
