He is among the greatest drivers in Formula 1 history and if he hadn’t lost the championship on the last lap of the last race last year, Lewis Hamilton would surely already be considered the greatest of all time. At 37, the Briton has won the world championship seven times, but unfortunately this year he is light years behind Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc. Inevitably disappointed by his performances, the ex of Nicole Scherzinger would certainly like to relaunch this weekend on the side of Monaco for one of the most anticipated grand prix, as every year.
While he is currently in sixth place in the standings, Lewis Hamilton may not have the chance to participate in the race held on the Rock and it is not his car that is in question. Indeed, the International Formula 1 Federation (FIA) recently told all drivers thatit is strictly forbidden to wear any jewelry during the race. The ban has already run for two races, but the FIA has decided to grant a grace period to the Englishman, who had indicated that it was impossible for him to remove his nose piercing as it requires surgery.
Lewis Hamilton faces hefty fine
Arrived yesterday on the paddock, Lewis Hamilton wore his nose piercing, proof that there is a good chance that he goes against the rules once again. The driver, recently seen with a famous influencer, now faces several sanctions from the FIA if he does not agree to comply with the rules. According to information from the British media The Sun, he could be fined €250,000 for provocation. A sanction which could be less severe if the management considers that it is only a violation of the rules and in this case the fine would be €50,000.
Now up against the wall, Lewis Hamilton will have to make a choice and his decision regarding his piercing could be a real turning point in a season that is already off to a bad start…
