Torrential rains will fall on several sectors of Quebec on Friday, while the weekend will be contrasted with a rainy Saturday and a sunny Sunday and 26 degrees on the thermometer, especially in the south of the province.
Sectors ranging from Pontiac, Mont-Laurier to the North Shore and Gaspésie, via Quebec, Saguenay and Bas-Saint-Laurent will receive 40 to 60 millimeters of rain by Saturday morning.
In Montreal, the Laurentians and Montérégie, showers are expected in the morning with a risk of thunderstorms in the afternoon, when temperatures will exceed 22 degrees and a Humidex 28 in places.
The eastern sectors of the province will be particularly well watered on Friday and Saturday, when quantities of up to 70 millimeters in places are expected, all under normal seasonal temperatures.
According to Environment Canada forecasts, Saturday will be a rainy day in most parts of the province with periods of intermittent rain and sustained downpours depending on the location.
On the other hand, the day of Sunday promises to be summery, with a beautiful sun and a mercury of 26 degrees in southern Quebec and a little less in the rest of the province, according to the federal agency.
