The creation of a “cold cases” center in France, dedicated to classified cases, gives hope to Cécile Vallin’s father. The disappearance of her daughter in June 1997 has never been elucidated.
25 years after the disappearance of Cécile Vallin, her father, Jonathan Oliver, cannot bring himself to part with his clothes. “These few affairs, it’s a way to stay in touch“, he assures. Cécile Vallin disappeared on June 8, 1997, at only 17 years old. Witnesses would have seen her along a road in Savoie, before she evaporated. But after many research in the sector, the investigation has stalled.
Wednesday, May 25, the absence is still great for his father. “She was outgoing, active, full of friends, loved and loving, very affectionate.”, remembers Jonathan Oliver. Since his disappearance, he hasn’t stopped looking for his daughter. “When you don’t know anything, it’s terrible because you can’t mourn. I need to know the truth about her disappearance“, he asks. His hope rests on the creation of a “cold cases” center in France, exclusively dedicated to unsolved cases.
