The Interregional Court of Marseille, specializing in cases related to organized crime, has taken up the investigation into the assassination of Ali Sebbouba, on May 16 in the Montesoro district in the southern districts of Bastia. The man was shot dead outside his home on his way to work. A decision taken while for its part, the judicial police of Bastia are calling for witnesses in this investigation. For the time being, no track is yet privileged.
Several hypotheses
Nothing conclusive, but the trail of a settling of accounts linked to organized crime seems to hold the rope. And in this case, it is not only the victim Ali Sebbouba who interests the investigators, but also one of his sons, Jaouad. Currently being held on the mainland, sources say he helped set up the logistics used in the Poretta double assassination by piloting a private plane on behalf of Christophe Guazzelli, and for having sheltered in the hangar of his father, who was a building contractor, the black Golf used by the killers.
Another lead, linked to the proximity between Jaouad Sebbouba and two drug dealers in the Ajaccio region. So many elements that motivated the Marseille JIRS to take up the investigation to allow Bastia investigators to expand their means of investigation. What also suppose, even if nothing attests it yet, that the killer or killers would have decided to take action in the entourage of Jaouad by executing his father Ali, also already convicted but for minor offenses.
