The 11ᵉ district of the Gironde is marked by a climb of the National Rally, a dynamic that could benefit the legislative candidate, Edwige Diaz, departmental delegate of the party. Jean Petaux, a political scientist from Bordeaux explains that: “this is where Jean-Marie Le Pen, first and above all Marine Le Pen, achieved the highest scores in Gironde. According to the political scientist, this dynamic is explained by a problem of mobility. “The inhabitants of Cubzaguais can sometimes take 1 hour and a half to come to work in Bordeaux.” On the North-East side of Guîtres the population is often in social suffering, which participated with the inhabitants of Cubzaguais in the yellow vests.
The nuclear power plant at the heart of the debates
