The novelty : Obi-Wan Kenobi
No, we haven’t finished squeezing the lemon named Star Wars. This time, the popular franchise is exploited through a new six-episode miniseries whose story begins 10 years after the events depicted in Star Wars – Revenge of the Sith, the film by George Lucas released in 2005, where Obi-Wan Kenobi (Ewan McGregor, who reprises his role) faced his greatest defeat, that is to say the fall of his best friend and apprentice Jedi, Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen), who turned to the dark side by becoming the evil Sith Lord Darth Vader. The trailer, which offers a grandiose spectacle, leads us to believe that Disney has gone all out to satisfy fans.
On Disney+ from Friday
The return : Sweety salty
Patrice Bélanger begins his eighth season on Monday at the helm of the veteran cultural magazine. To mark the occasion, the team decided to record a show in front of an audience at the Montreal Biosphere. For the occasion, the host receives comedian Pierre-Yves Roy-Desmarais, Varda Étienne talks with Anouk Meunier, and Francisco Randez chats with Krystel Mongeau, the most recent winner of Star Academy. We are announcing a new feature this summer, a segment entitled Sucré salé grilled every Friday, during which celebrities will come and cook their favorite BBQ recipe. As for the collaborators, note in particular the arrival of Martin Vachon, Andy Mailly-Pressoir and Émilie Fournier.
VAT, Monday to Friday at 6:30 p.m. (rebroadcast at 10:35 p.m.)
The essential: Loto-Meno epilogue
Véronique Cloutier’s four-episode documentary series had a huge impact last year, and once again this spring when it was broadcast on ICI Télé. Since Radio-Canada has placed an embargo on the show, we must keep its content secret until it lands online. However, we can say that this is a 45-minute bonus episode in which the host will find the DD Sylvie Demers to talk about perimenopause, will take stock with the actress Hélène Bourgeois-Leclerc on her state of health and will meet – twice rather than once – the Minister of Health of Quebec, Christian Dubé, to demand concrete solutions, quick and free bio-identical hormone therapy. (By the way, the petition is approaching 300,000 signatures.)

The roll of the dice: The other noon at the next table
Will this new season bring us a nugget like the one with Anne Dorval and Julie Snyder last fall? We hope so. After having served us a discussion between Marina Orsini and Jean-François Mercier, this week, Radio-Canada invites us to attend the exchanges of the storytellers Boucar Diouf and Fred Pellerin. Unsurprisingly, the conversation will flow in multiple directions. On the menu: their childhood, their villages and their wounds. There will also be talk of elves. Suggested activity to enhance listening: take a sip each time Fred Pellerin talks about Saint-Élie-de-Caxton and each time Boucar Diouf mentions his grandfather.
ICI Télé, Sunday at 8 p.m.
