As prices rise with inflation, the government is considering how it could restore purchasing power to employees. Companies could be involved.

Fighting inflation will be at the heart of the government’s project to preserve the purchasing power of the French. A series of measures is still in preparation. Bruno Lemaire invites the main employers’ organizations, Monday, May 23 at the end of the afternoon in Bercy. The Minister of the Economy is expecting proposals from them, in particular salary increases.

Indeed, on the side of the French, we are worried about rising prices. “We must create a principle of solidarity, create a system”asks a woman. “The food check can be a good measure, but knowing how long it will last (…) is ephemeral for me”, says a Frenchman. To restore purchasing power, the government is exploring several avenues: the reindexing of pensions and social minima on inflation, the distribution of food vouchers, a tripling of the Macron bonus…
