The exhibition Women | A tribute in flowers

Fleurs de Villes is holding its first floral installation in Montreal, from May 20 to 29, in the heart of the Quartier des Spectacles. The Vancouver-based company, which has visited 21 cities in Canada, the United States, England and Australia since 2015, is taking over Complexe Desjardins and a portion of Sainte-Catherine Street with its floral creations.

The exhibition Women is an opportunity to highlight key figures from the cultural or political scene, including harpist Valérie Milot, star dancer of the Grands Ballets Canadiens Anik Bissonette, singer Céline Dion and activist Malala Yousafzai, Nobel Peace Prize winner. Fifteen static models embody these remarkable women, dressed in fresh flowers by local artists in an exercise in floral haute couture.

On Thursday, May 26, between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m., a visit to the exhibition will be an excuse to leave with a bouquet from the flower market and to attend demonstrations of floral arrangements which will also continue the next day.
