A serious road accident in Saint-Narcisse, Mauricie, on Sunday left several injured, including one person in critical condition.

The accident occurred early Sunday afternoon on Route 359, which connects the St. Lawrence River inland, in Mauricie. At the height of Saint-Narcisse, two vehicles made a violent face-to-face.
According to preliminary information from the Sûreté du Québec (SQ), several people were injured. “A person was also transported to the hospital in critical condition,” said Béatrice Dorsainville, spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec.
The Ministère des Transports du Québec (MTQ) was called and a bypass was established to allow traffic. An SQ reconstructionist was dispatched to the scene to try to understand the circumstances of the collision.
