More than 1,000 inhabitants of Périgueux woke up in the dark this Saturday, May 21. Around 8:15 a.m., a major power outage affected the hypercentre of Périgueux, as well as the Vésone district and the Bassin district. The breakdown is linked to a technical problem at a distribution station located under Place Bugeaud. It supplies local residents but also many traders in the district.
40 inhabitants still without electricity
Around 10:20 am, the majority of the inhabitants were resupplied. But this Saturday at the end of the afternoon, forty homes are still without electricity. Enedis technicians are on site to repair. A generator should arrive at the end of the afternoon or the beginning of the evening in order to resupply the homes still without power.
