The evenings follow one another on the sidelines of the 75th edition of the Cannes Film Festival but are not alike. This Thursday, May 19, 2022, the Croisette once again offered some great events to extend the festivities. Thus, while the Miss France shone at the Global Gift Gala evening, worthily orchestrated by Eva Longoria, other stars went at the Chopard party. The star Julia Roberts was present there. After climbing the steps of Cannes in Louis Vuitton, under the roof of the Martinez hotel, she caused a sensation in a black Dior ensemble, with of course a Chopard necklace, with a 100-carat yellow diamond. The actress posed, accomplice, with Xavier Dolan.
It was she who presented the Chopard trophy, succeeding Jessica Chastain, in front of an audience of stars. This year, it is the two young British actors Sheila Atim (seen recently in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness) and Jack Lowdon, who is best known for the series Slow Horses, who received this distinction. The star of Pretty Woman was thus able to meet at this evening organized by Caroline Scheufele, co-president and artistic director of Chopard, the lovely actress Joséphine Japy. The jewelry house, official partner of the Cannes Film Festival, was also able to count on the presence of Pascal Elbé, who came with his son Léo Elbé, who obviously spent a pleasant evening with Vincent Elbaz.
There was also Noomi Rapace, member of the jury for this Cannes fortnight, but also Rebecca Hall and Edgar Ramirez. Lolita Chammah, Isabelle Huppert’s daughter who looks more and more like her, was able to meet Benjamin Biolay, displaying her new blond look. Finnegan Oldfield, Lashana Lynch, or even Jeanne Cherhal followed one another at this prestigious photocall. William Abadie and Joanna Kulig were also present at this much-awaited Chopard evening every year on the Croisette.
His second time in Cannes
Moments earlier, Julia Roberts made a very noticeable arrival for the film’s stair climb Armageddon Time. Hair down, natural, she shone in a Louis Vuitton suit with a huge Chopard necklace that made her shine even more. The legendary American actress, who won her first Oscar in 2001 for her role as Erin Brokovich, was only at Cannes for the second time. And she is not about to forget this trip to the Croisette.
