The Pré de la Fabrègue, in Vigan (Gard), discovered an unusual visitor this Wednesday at the end of the afternoon. The guest ? The pilot of a glider, who felt his aircraft losing lift. The Gard gendarmes had been alerted that the glider was flying at very low altitude. They located the device, and went to the scene, ready to help if needed. The story ends very well: “the pilot and his machine are (..) one in excellent health and the second in excellent condition”, indicate the gendarmes of Vigan. The pilot chose to land voluntarily at this location previously identified as a possible landing site in the event of damageor various problem preventing to reach the arrival point fixed initially.
