Quebec reported 672 new cases of COVID-19 and one additional death from the disease on Wednesday.
Of the new cases, 446 were people who had not been vaccinated or received a single dose less than 14 days ago, 20 had only received a single dose at least two weeks ago, and 206 had received a second dose at least seven days ago.
Since the start of the pandemic, 431,612 infections have been reported, and 11,529 of them have been shown to be fatal.
220 hospitalizations were reported on Wednesday, one more than on Tuesday. The number of intensive care patients remained stable at 45.

According to the National Institute of Public Health of Quebec, 79.5% of the population has received at least one dose of vaccine against COVID-19. Among those 12 years and older, 90.8% have received at least one dose and 88.3% are adequately vaccinated.
