Two dogs from Mayenne, Jaguar and Nod, participate with their mistress in the flyball world championship

Jaguar and Nod, two border collies, will leave for Belgium on May 28 and 29, to participate in the flyball world championship with their mistress Coraline Mousset, from the Laval working dog club. This discipline mixes obstacle course, relay, speed and ball return.

Two dogs from Mayenne, Jaguar and Nod, are taking part in the flyball world championship in Lommel, Belgium, on May 28 and 29. They will be accompanied by their mistress Coraline Moussetfrom the Laval working dog club.

The principle of flyball is as follows: the dog performs alone a straight course composed of a series of four hurdles at the end of which is positioned a flybox, a launcher with a pedal on which the dog must press, thus triggering the ejection of a ball which it catches on the fly and brings back to its master by jumping the same four hurdles in the opposite direction.

Game and sport

Flyball combines game and sport, I really like the fact that this sport promotes complicity“, explains Coraline Mousset. The Mayennaise has already taken part in many competitions, including the Grands Prix de France.

To discover this canine sport, the Laval working dog club offers initiations and demonstrations on Sunday mornings from 10 to 11 a.m., at the club in the wood of the Huisserie, in Laval.
