At the trial of the attacks of November 13, 2015 which continues in Paris, it was the turn of the members of the group Eagles of death metal to testify at the bar on Tuesday, May 17. They were performing on the Bataclan stage at the time of the terrorist attack, in which 90 people were killed. They are also considered survivors of the attacks.
They testify at the bar more than six years after their Bataclan concert. Eden Galindothe guitarist, and Jesse Hugues, the singer, two members of the band Eagles of Death Metal arrived at the November 13, 2015 trial through a backdoor on Tuesday, May 17. They recounted the concert, interrupted by the shooting, then the flight through the streets of Paris. ”We didn’t know if the terrorists were following us, we were very suspicious of people”, testifies Eden Galindo.
In turn, Jesse Hugues expressed himself, carrying a more committed message. ”The attackers tried to silence the music, the joy of life, but they failed”, says the singer. When they left court, the two musicians said they forgave the defendants. During the attack, the rock band lost a member of the technical team, murdered at the entrance to the Bataclan.
