After the crazy finish on Sunday, which saw Romain Bardet narrowly fail for victory at the top of the Blockhaus, the Tour of Italy peloton had a day off to recover from the efforts made. For the recovery, he should not suffer too much, Tuesday, May 17, with this 10th stage which does not present any major difficulty. The Spaniard Juan Pedro Lopez (Trek-Segafredo) should therefore keep his pink jersey saved in extremis on Sunday.
After a rolling first half of the course, the road will bend a little, offering some opportunities for long-distance attacks. If he passes these bumps without a hitch, Arnaud Démare (Groupama-FDJ) will again be a more than credible candidate for the stage victory at Jesi, he who has already gleaned two on this Giro.
