Saturday May 14, the Ukrainian group Kalush Orchestra won the Eurovision Song Contest in Turin, Italy. This is an important victory for the country at war.
The victory, Saturday, May 14, of the Ukrainian group at Eurovision, gives a smile to the Ukrainians. “This victory is very good for our morale. This is our first victory and the second, that of war, will come soon.”assures a resident of kyiv (Ukraine). On social networks, the President Volodymyr Zelensky said : “we will ensure that one day Eurovision will be hosted in Mariupol, free, peaceful, rebuilt”.
The clip of the band’s song Kalush Orchestra was shot at Butcha (Ukraine). In Russia, television did not broadcast the competition, but denounced a charade. Some Russians, however, welcome this victory. “Of course, I think most people support Ukraine, they can’t help it since they understand that it’s a tragedy“says a woman. The members of the Ukrainian group were able to be excused during the competition, but they will take up arms again on Monday, May 16.
