A tribute to the victims of the attacks of November 13, 2015, including a minute of silence and the wearing of an armband by the Blues, will be paid to the Parc des Princes on Saturday November 13 during the France-Kazakhstan match (8:45 p.m.), a announced Wednesday the Football Federation.
On the evening of November 13, 2015, a coordinated jihadist attack targeted the Bataclan concert hall, café terraces in Paris and the Stade de France. A “suicide bomber” blew himself up in front of the sports arena where the friendly match between France and Germany was taking place. The qualifying match for the 2022 World Cup on Saturday against Kazakhstan is held in the precincts of PSG six years to the day after these attacks which left 130 dead and hundreds injured in Paris and Saint-Denis.
The trial of the “13-November” attacks, the worst jihadist attacks committed on French soil, is currently being held before the special assize court in Paris. “A minute of silence will be observed before kick-off. The players of the France team will wear a special armband. The Parc des Princes will be dressed in the Bleuet and it will appear on the giant jersey during the pre-match ceremony“, said the FFF.
A collection of donations and a “solidarity sale” will also be carried out by volunteers from Bleuet de France, an association of solidarity with veterans, victims of war and acts of terrorism.
