Mickael Ciani : Yes, it hurts. It’s very complicated to live that, to see the powerless players. I understand the distress of the supporters. But we don’t judge on this match, it’s a whole season that was missed by Bordeaux and to see him in this position, it’s disappointing. We would never have imagined a Bordeaux going down to Ligue 2.

Who do you have a thought for tonight?
For an era. Not necessarily for a person but for an era. It’s true that when I was there, even when things were going a little badly, it was still a team that held the road with players in solidarity, players who got along, we also had a management that held the road. We have the impression that there everything is going a bit in all directions, no one supports anyone anymore, it’s sad. We see a club which today, unfortunately, given the season it has had, deserves this place. But it is disappointing, unfortunate and sad.
Other big French clubs have been there and they have bounced back?
There are clubs that register for many years in Ligue 1. It happens that they go down and they manage to go up. We have Monaco playing for European places, Nantes winning the Coupe de France and having an honorable season. We don’t know what will be done tomorrow and in the next few years.
