Toulon achieves the feat against Saracens and joins Lyon in the final

What a performance! The Toulonnais were not necessarily starting favorites against Saracens, who have English internationals Owen Farrell and Maro Itoje in their ranks, Saturday May 14, but they managed to win, and with style (25-16). The RCT was able to rely on its winger Gabin Villière, author of two tries in his den at the Mayol stadium, to afford the London favorites.

Franck Azéma’s players thus join the Lyonnais in the Challenge Cup final, they who beat the Wasps earlier in the day. The duel will be played at the Vélodrome stadium in Marseille on May 27.

The third try for the RCT was scored by the Fijian wing three-quarter Jiuta Wainiqolo, who came to mystify three defenders to score under the posts. Thanks to the transformation of Louis Carbonel, the players of the RCT took a nine-point lead and were able to withstand the English waves with more serenity.
