A municipal campsite in the Barétous valley, in the town of Arette, route de Lanne, suffered a fire on Friday May 13 in the night. The Pyrénées-Atlantiques firefighters were called around midnight to a fire in a mobile home. Once they arrived on site, they found that the flames had already been brought under control by the occupants and neighbors of the campsite.
But the incident still caused damage: according to the emergency services, seven people were exposed to the fumes and lightly inhaled it. Among them, two little girls, aged five, who were urgently evacuated to the Oloron-Sainte-Marie hospital center.
